Hey guys I’m sorry if this ends up somewhere it shouldn’t be..

so I applied for PIP February this year some time.. unfortunately my messages delete so I’ve lost the initial text to say when I claimed.

Assessment was done June 8th.

I was awarded this morning via text.

Now, I rang the automated line to find out my payment etc etc..

it was £900 and something 🫣

can anybody explain what this amount is and is it just my standard payment or? 🥴

I’m so so confused!

I wouldn’t take too much notice of the automated payment line because it often gives wrong information.
Money owed usually goes into your bank before you receive the decision letter, providing you’re not transferring from DLA.
You will receive the decision letter within the next couple of weeks. If you can’t wait until then you can ring PIP and they will tell you what your award is.

    Well thank goodness.

I’m happy to wait anyway, I’m sure there’s so many applications to get through…  just being given that amount on the phoneline totally threw me off what I thought I would get. (Going off my assessment report)

fingers crossed it’s soon, thank you for your prompt reply.

Hi all, I would like to update anybody who’s curious.

    The £992 is owed arrears.

The call centre advisor told me this amount told will always be arrears.. and to wait for the letter to find out your rate, and next official payment date.

    Hope this helps a little.

It's option 6 on the PIP helpline. 0800 121 4433 However, it has been known not to be the most reliable and of course it will only give you information if there's an award in payment.

Hi i made a claim to pip on in Febuary. Did not have any assessment. Got a quick call feom assessment providor and she sent the report to DWP. The following week i recived a text from GP they want to talk to me about my pip form. I recived a text from DWP i have been awarded pip. I called them the same day and the automated service mentioned i will get £107 on 12 June. Does this mean i have only awarded the lower rate mobility

Hi I'm new to this.. can you help me .in April I requested award review as my conditions have worsened. I sent the form off with many supporting information.  On the 29th of May I had a text my pip review is complete allow 2 weeks to receive decision letter.  I have had no phone call or any sort of assessment. But I ran automated line to check if payments have change but it is the same does that mean my award is the same

The automated payment line has been known not to be very reliable. You can either ring PIP to ask what the decision is or wait for the letter.

Thanks for replying . I did ring them today  but they couldn't tell me. They said wait for my decision letter. I have seen other people have been told on the phone.. is that a bad sign for me
    Thanks

It’s impossible to predict anything. Sometimes some call centre staff will not tell you what the decision is over the phone.
Once you receive it, if you’re not happy you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration.
