No need to apologise, it isn't always easy for us to get our message across in text.

I suppose I am a bit prickly about preceived 'hierarchy' of claimants, based on years served at the coalface. I was on the scrapheap at 35, due to Muscular Dystrophy. A state of affairs I just never thought possible.

hi , my advice is , whatever you buy , ie car, sofa , new adaptations for house, KEEP ALL RECEIPTS!!!!! I did and put them in a folder , few years later my ex,s new partner tried to cause trouble for me and I was investigated , I had done nothing wrong , I produced all my receipts and bank statements to clarify that I had done nothing wrong and case closed , exs new partner had egg on her face !!
I am not sure how much you have inherited , but doo you have an option to buy a small flat ?? Good luck with whatever you do xx
