Pip review. Can they reassess at any time?

Hi, I was awarded high rate daily living and low rate mobility earlier this year and was awarded both for 2 years.
Will this run for the full 2 years or is it like UC where they can reassess at any time?
Thankyou.

It's not the same as LCW for UC. Your PIP award will have an end date on the decision letter. About 6 months before that they will send you a review form to fill in and return with all your evidence. Another assessment is most likley because most people have them.

Hi poppy, so sept 21 was when I applied. Awarded in April. So should I expect a form through I know March 23? Ready for an assessment for September 23?If they assess early does the pip still continue until the September 23 because they originally found me eligible until that date? Or will it simply cut off when they’ve made a new decision if found to be no longer eligible.Thankyou.0

If your award end date is Sept 2023 then it should be around March/April 2023 that you'll receive the forms, unless they decide to send them earlier but it will depend on the backlogs at that time.If the worst happens and you're refused your PIP will end once the decision is made. This is because any new decision overrules your existing award.0
