I won my tribunal case on 15th June and have recently been informed by dwp they are asking the court for information, is this normal.
I thought all the stress was over, how wrong I was.its a nightmare. Any info would be much appreciated

Hi and welcome to the community

Dwp can request a statement of reasons just tye same as a claimant can

It doesn't mean they will take any action they need to find an error in law to be able to appeal the tribunal decision

Have they requested the statement of reasons (SOR)? Or was there something in the decision letter that wasn't correct?
If they've requested the SOR, they do sometimes request this but rarely appeal it. Requesting this doesn't mean they are appealing.

    Thankyou for your reply.
    Yes it's statement of reasons.
As previous to the tribunal they scored me 0 points on everything, but I have sent letters from consultants and my gp to help my case, and with the questions asked by telephone for the tribunal. The judge obviously thought I should get the advanced payment, so I am not surprised really they want to look at why.
It's just the stress that it all causes.

They have the same chance we do to appeal the decision but they can't do that without first requesting the SOR. The only thing when they do this is it can delay the process of your PIP award being put into payment and receiving the money they owe you. There's no timescales how long it takes the judge to write the SOR.

    Thankyou so much.
The waiting is stressing me even more, I thought it had ended after the tribunal, after 14months, but no it's gone on another month over.and I feel helpless to do anything.

You are welcome @salts13. It is the very least you deserve.

I can hear how the waiting is stressing you even more. What usually helps you to feel less stressed when waiting? Apart from hoping time hurries up, of course.

It sounds like it has dragged it out even further - past the tribunal when you expected it to be over. I wish you the best of luck.
