I've received a payment. Is this likely to be the back payment, first payment, or both combined?

Hi, I received a txt last Friday stating I have been awarded PIP with a explanatory letter to follow.
A payment was made into my bank account today of £627.00. I applied early February this year. I have not received the letter yet.
My question is, is this likely to be the back payment, the 1st monthly payment or a monthly payment and backdated payment combined?? So do I get a monthly payment 1st and if so when will the back payment be due??
I have CTEPH and was turned down for PIP when I first applied approximately 4yrs ago, however this was before I was properly diagnosed as having CTEPH. I have no idea what level of PIP to expect.
Thanks in advance....... Steve

The money in your bank will be the money they owe you from the date you first claimed up until a certain date. Your next payment will be paid about 4 weeks after the money owed was paid. Future payments will be made every 4 weeks, not monthly.
Once you receive the decision letter it will tell you everything you need to know and what day of the week you'll receive your money.

Thanks for that Poppy123456, received my letter & this is exactly right.
My points added up to the minimum payment for standard rate mobility.
6 points for daily living, 8 points for mobility.

If you disagree with that decision and think you should be entitled to at least standard daily living as well as the mobility then you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR) Your exisiting award will continue as normal if you request the MR.
You should get some expert advice before doing anything else. https://advicelocal.uk/
