Along with the Premier League sweepstake, the online community will also be hosting our usual Premier League predictions game, but with a different format to usual.

It's time for the Online Community Premier League Predictions game!

what is it?

  • The English Premier League will kick off at 8pm on 5 August.
  • There are 20 teams in the English Premier League.
  • Online community members will make a series of predictions ahead of the upcoming season and will gain a point for each correct prediction, with the winner receiving a special community badge.
  • There is also one prediction for each of the FA Cup and European Champions League.
  • The full list of predictions can be viewed towards the bottom of this post.

Some of the predictions are team based, so here's a reminder of the full list of teams taking part in the Premier league this season:

How do I take part?

  • Comment your predictions for the below questions, a point will be awarded per correct answer.
  • In cases where no prediction is correct come the end of the season, a point will be awarded for any user (s) who predicts the closest to the correct outcome.
  • Closing date for entries is 7.59pm on 5 August.

The predictions:
  1. Who will win the league title? Bonus point if you can correctly predict the number of points they'll get.
  2. How many goals will the top goalscorer have at the end of the season?
  3. How many red cards will there be in total across the entire season?
  4. How many yellow cards will there be in total across the entire season? 
  5. Name one team that will be involved in the first match where the final score has a difference of 4 or more goals?
  6. Name one team that will be involved in the first match in which nine or more goals will be scored overall in the game.   
  7. How many goals from corners will be scored across the entire season? 
  8. Which three teams will get relegated? One point per team predicted.
  9. How many goals will be scored altogether across the entire season?
  10. How many penalties will be scored across the entire season?
  11. Which team will score the most goals overall?
  12. Which team will concede the most goals overall?
  13. After how long will the quickest goal in a match be scored this season?
  14. Who will win the Champions League?
  15. Who will win the FA Cup?

    I know very little about football, so there's no excuse not to get your predictions in :D I used some stats on the Premier League website from last year to try and guide my answers, which anyone else who doesn't follow the football that much might find helpful if they want to get involved!
