Hi guys.

I applied for PIP several years ago, scored practically no points at the assessment (no surprise) and appealed it. Ended up getting both components at the standard rate, when the Tribunal intervened and ruled on my behalf.

I have a PIP re-assessment on 4th August, However I am confused.

On 2nd July 2022, I recieved a letter. "Our records show that you had a previous Appeal Tribunal decision, we cannot look at PIP claims where a decision was made by a Appeal Tribunal, we do not have the legal power change these decisions."

The amount of help I need has not changed, my disabilities have remained the same, so I am unclear why I am getting re-assessed, and why I recieved that letter?

PIP awards have end dates so everyone has a review at some point.
I have no idea why you received that letter, you will need to ring PIP to ask them why.
If you have an assessment on 4th August you need to make sure you attend.
Any new decision on your review will overrule your current award.

Follow up question, if I may please. Do you know (roughly) how long it takes for them to make a decision?

Up to 12 weeks after the assessment.
