I remember posting in 2020 just before the first lockdown to announce the birth of my first grandchild( a boy).
Fast forward a couple of years and now I’m waiting for grandchild number 2, a girl this time.
Due date is 31st July and yesterday my daughter went for a scan and they realised that the placenta may not be working as it should. She’s also got an infection, which she has antibiotics for.
This morning she went into hospital to be induced. They broke her waters at about midday and now she’s about 4cm dilated.
Today I’m looking after my grandson at his house with my younger daughter.
I wish more than anything I could be with her and my heart is in my mouth! Not knowing how she’s really doing is the worst part!
My son is law has been giving me regular updates, which is really nice of him.
Now I’m just waiting to hear the news of the safe arrival of my first granddaughter! Exciting times ahead! I will let you all know once she’s born!
