What questions do they ask during the assessment? Do they tell you when they're going to call?

Was wondering if anyone can tell me what are the questions they ask with a phone call for pip and do they let you know when they are going to  be calling you.

There's more details about the PIP assessment questions on the Scope website. The assessor will ask questions like those in your application form. You will need to talk about your condition and how it affects you.

You should get a letter with the date of your PIP assessment. It will tell you if Independent Assessment Services or Capita is doing the assessment. Your letter must give you 7 days' notice. You can also read about preparing for the assessment on the Scope website.

If you can't answer the phone yourself can someone take the call for you and answer the questions?

You can have someone with you to support you during the call @ggma1, and remind you of your notes about how your conditions affect you a majority of the time. 

If they cannot be with you in person, ask the assessor to add your companion to the call. You will need to provide their telephone number and they need to be ready to answer the phone at the time of your appointment.

The assessment may not be by telephone, it could be face to face at an assessment centre. Either way, you would be expected to answer the questions yourself, unless you have an appointee.

If it's telephone and you have problems speaking on the phone you can contact the health assessment providers and tell them this and maybe ask them for a face to face at a centre closest to you.

You can have someone with you whether it's phone or face to face.

Firstly I was asked if there was anybody with me for support. 
They then read of the list of conditions I had noted on the form and asked if I had medication for them and if under specialist, including when had I last seen the gp about these conditions. I was then asked how my conditions effected me and how they made me feel eg nausea, sweating ect.
