Hi there people. After so many appeals, I won mine instead of going to tribunal. I had a for call last week to say I get advanced in both, she said someone will phone me next week about my payment of back date. I'm anxious to find out how long this will take as for over a year I have been sleeping on the floor because of damp and cold can't use my kitchen because of the same problem also can't put a cooker in because pipe needs moving getting stuff done and eating take aways the place has put me into debt and it wouldn't have never been anywhere near as bad if the pip was paying me properly oh and it takes me easy 10 minutes to get off the floor. Is this a normal way for someone with a disability to live?

Hi @denisharris123
Welcome to the community! Thank you for joining, and for telling us about your situation.
Well done on successfully challenging your award- was that through doing a Mandatory Reconsideration (MR)?
I hope you don't have to wait too long for your backpayment to come through.
It sounds as though your living situation is really tough at the moment. Do you mind me asking whether you claim any other benefits, or have any other form of income?
If you're not sure what other benefits you may be eligible to claim, you could try using an online benefits calculator (Turn2Us).
Have you had a needs assessment from your local authority at all? It might be worth looking into, to see whether they can offer you any additional support. You can find out how to refer yourself on the gov.uk website.
Do you mind me asking what kind of housing you're in, such as council owned housing, privately rented housing, housing association housing, your own home etc.?
If you're worried about debt, StepChange would be a good organisation to get in touch with.
I can imagine this would have all taken its toll on you. How's your health been over the past year?

Afternoon @denisharris123
A belated welcome to the community from me too
How are you getting on? Did you get chance to see Tori's reply above? If so, it would be great if you could get back to us, and if you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask.0
