I have recently applied for pip using the online system in June.
I had a accident when I was 8 years old on my right foot as im getting older now 34 found out I have permanent nerve damage When walking I get very bad pain on my foot can't walk.
Throughout the year growing up I thought it was just go away My GP referred me to an ultra sound scan to find any abnormality report came clear no problem found then doctor told me it's an old injury that healed from long time ago which the scan can't show any nerve damage.
Im in pain all day been taking over the counter pain killers for year now doctor gave me amitriptyline which makes me drowsy have to have it long term but still in pain.
How likely will I get pip.

That will depend on exactly how your conditions affect you against the 12 PIP activities. It’s not awarded based on any diagnosis. Unfortunately as I have no idea how your condition affects you then I can’t tell you whether your claim will be successful.
You can see the descriptors and a lot more information here. It’s a very long read but it does help to have some understanding of the descriptors, what they mean and the criteria. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria0 -
It’s not awarded based on any diagnosis which I know only how it affects me.I put as much information as possible how it effects me.sometimes you don't feel the pain until later on in life as you get older then you realise its from an accident you had long time ago.0
