CAB are absolutely useless (imo)
had a 2 hour telephone app this afternoon to help with my pip MR
i was asked minimal questions the rest of the time they were typing, at the end it was emailed to me and I was told to print and send
i struggle to read as I get frustrated and confused. Not all the questions I scored 0 points on were answered they left out reading, communicating and nutrition and only put minimal replies in the test (apart from toilet needs as no issues there)
I have no idea why it took 2 hours !!
I’ve just had to do most of it myself as I know what affects me I’m fuming what a waste of time
i have to try to go out and get it printed and sent least I have a while
rant over 😁

Remember now they put I need prompting or supervision for the replies there’s no one else here to prompt me or supervise me

That will make no difference. PIP isn't about the help you receive, it's about the help you need, regardless of whether you receive that help.

Where the cab advisor put I need prompting or supervision to cook and prompting on other descriptors I removed the prompting and supervision sentence from the letter0

If you need prompting or supervision then you can still score points for that, even if you live alone, as advised here.
My daughter lives with me and claims PIP. She scored points for assistance/supervision in quite a few activities. She would still score those same points if she lived alone. It will help to have some understanding of the PIP descriptors too.poppy123456 said:

I know it's rather a lot but it would help to read a little at a time. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't find the phone call as helpful as you might have hoped @apples. I can imagine that'd feel quite frustrating. Do you feel like you at least have a bit of a basis for what you'd like to write now?
If you find it easier to process information by listening, rather than reading, then you could consider using a programme that reads words on screen out loud. Is that something you've tried before?0
