Hi I’m just wondering if anyone has any info on how long it takes for a decision after attending a disability assessment for lwrca and if successful do you no if it gets backdated. Thankyou x

Once the report is returned to dwp it takes up to 12 weeks for a decision. If found to have LCWRA the the extra money is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition. Is this for yourself? If so I’m a little confused because about a year ago you said you were claiming Income Rated ESA and you were in the Support Group.0

@poppy123456 you don’t need to be confused you didn’t need to look at my previous posts from a whole year ago, I was simply asking a question relating to today’s discussion0

Thanks. The extra money isn't paid at all during the waiting period. If found to have LCWRA whether any money is owed will depend on when exactly they reported their health condition and what date they usually receive their money each month. If they also claim UC with a partner that already claims LCWRA on their claim then there will not be any extra money because you can only receive 1 element, per claim.0
