Hello scope online community
I am going to Tenerife on holiday with my family.
We were thinking of taking my NHS Electric wheelchair with us. I want some advice what would I do if it broke down in Tenerife how to go back to get fixed out there?
Would have extra insurance would travel insurance not cover it?
Has anyone on the scope online community ever taken their NHS Electric wheelchair abroad before?
I looking forward to receiving some advice on that matter.
Many thanks
Globster

    Exciting news about the holiday @Globster, I hope you and the family have a lovely time.

    I'm not certain on this, but I just wanted to check whether you have any insurence for your wheelchair already? If so, that might cover any damages sustained internationally.

    I hope that others will be able to share their experience of using a wheelchair overseas and be able to offer you any tips.

    @Ross_Scope
    After talking with both of my parents we have decided their many valuables that could go wrong with my NHS Electic wheelchair we have decided to just take the manual wheelchair on holiday with us.
     :)

    @Globster, where are you going in Tenerife? We have been there several times and love it. Might be able to give you some pointers, if you'd like them.

    @Globster it might be an option to take your manual chair then hire an electric one while you are there which will have insurance cover
