PIP question about decision

Hi everyone

I have received a text today following one I received on the 3rd to say they had received the written report. It said they'd be in contact within 8 weeks.

The text today said
"We have not yet made a decision on your PIP claim. We will write to you when we have made a decision. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change.

Does this mean that there is issues in terms of a decision?

Also if I am successful do they pay the arrears as a whole or do they spread it out?

If anyone can shed some light it would be much appreciated! Thank you

The text means exactly what it says "they've not yet made a decision" DWP have started sending more updates through text message to try to stop claimants ringing for updates.
If successfully awarded and it's a first time claim, without transferring from DLA then money is uaully paid into your bank before you receive the decision letter, paid as a lump sum.
Timescales for a decision from when they received the report are between 2-12 weeks.
