It means they’ve changed your appointment date and nothing more. Once a decision is made a letter will be uploaded onto your journal.0

Sorry to bother you again I’m still waiting on a wca I had an appointment with a new work coach who told me because I haven’t been in paid employment before (done a bit of volunteer work but never paid work and had children close in age) that I’m more than likely to be found fit for work, even though she knows nothing about why I had a wca done or my health issues. Anyone know if this is true?? Proper gone into panic mode the waiting hasn’t helped either, thanks in advance for any reply0

That's absolutely shocking for her to tell you that because it's far from correct. There's likely to be thousands of people that have never worked that are successfully found to have LCWRA or placed into the Support Group for ESA.As you know a decision can take up to 12 weeks, sometimes longer.1

Thank you so much for your reply and the clarification I can relax a bit now I didn’t think it was true and couldn’t find out anything online relating to what she saidpoppy123456 said:That's absolutely shocking for her to tell you that because it's far from correct. My mother hasn’t worked for the past 26 years because she’s been sick. This woman the work coach is ignorant and not to be listened to please don’t take anything she has said as gospel. It’s far from true.0

Hi me again I’ve just had a phone call from DWP decision maker, the doctor was conducted my wca said I’m fit for some sort of work (haven’t had my decision yet) anyway the dm wants to speak to the doctor after he spoke to me because he don’t feel I’m ready for work after I explained how my illness affects me. He wants to get the decision changed. Anyone know if he can get the decision changed or will he go with the what the wca suggested?? He said once he spoke to them I’ll get my decision. I thought it up was to the dm to decide. My mental health is taking a bartering just trying to make sense of it0

This doesn’t make sense. If it was the decision maker that you spoke to they can go against the recommendations in the report. The report is not the decision.busyMum16 said:He wants to get the decision changed. All you can do is wait for the decision and if you’re not happy you can challenge it.
There could be some contradictions in the report which may mean they need to question it by contacting the health assessment providers.0 -
That what’s I thought, this whole thing has been so confusing I never get a straight answer from anyone at the DWP apparently my wca report wasn’t very detailed now he had more information from me he wants to see if he can get the decision changed, I thought that the dm could make the decision based on the report and my uc50 form so why can’t he change the decision himself. Thank you poppy I’m glad someone knows about the process because I’m confused just thinking about it 🤣 hopefully get my decision today and it will be good news, otherwise I’m going to stress myself out trying to do a mrpoppy123456 said:

Hi there
The dm may have meant he will see if he can change the decision after getting more information as he has more to go on
Just a thought0 -
Thank you for your reply I didn’t think of it like that your probably right it makes sense now 🤣 my poor brain hurts trying to make sense of it and it was obvious that’s what he meant, thank youjaner1967 said:Hi there

Last question from me I promise 🤣 I’ve been awarded LCWRA, my ap is 1st-31st I notified them of my health condition and uploaded a fit note on 10/6/22 am I right in thinking that they owe me this month’s LCWRA amount as it’s already been 3 full ap? Or have I got it wrong0
-
Good news. You reported your health conditon in the middle of your AP, which doesn't count. Your waiting period is July to Sept. LCWRA starts from AP 1st to 31st Oct and first payment will be 6th Nov. No LCWRA element is owed.1

Hi sorry to annoy you again, my friend suggested I can ask uc for a change of circumstance advance due to being awarded LCWRA, my question is is this even a thing? Can’t find anything online about it so not sure if it’s true or not0

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/universal-credit-advances
- You can apply for a Universal Credit advance:
- before you get your first payment
- if you are already being paid Universal Credit and have told us of a change in your circumstances that means you will be paid more Universal Credit but have not yet been paid the increased amount
However it is best to avoid having an advance if possible because it has to be paid back which reduces future payments.
