Phone call from Pip

Last month my claim was declined so I appealed. I sent all the doctor's letters etc on Monday by recorded delivery so they would receive it on Tuesday. Then today I received a text saying dwp would ring me at 2 to talk to me about my request for reconsideration. Well they rang I passed all security questions then she just said I just need to confirm can you give me the name of your bank and last 4 digits of account number you gave to pay money into. I did this then she said right thank you that's all I need they will be looking at your claim in next couple of days you will receive your letter in 7-10 days.
Why didn't they just once they had made a decision?
To me it's a waste of a phonecall if I didn't win my appeal

I can see why you might have felt it was a waste of a phonecall @lynn78. Hopefully your MR will be successful, and it'll have paid off
You've mentioned sending doctors letters as part of your MR- is that right? Do you mind me asking what other kinds of evidence you provided?0 -
Hi I sent a letter describing all the difficulties I had, a letter from my husband stating what he does and how he helps me. A doctor's note stating my medication and how my disability effects me plus photos of me with a walking stick plus photos of my hands just to show how bent they are. Also a photo of my blue badge.
I applied for the blue badge before I applied for pip. It cost me £10 but I have got it for 3 years. Pip refused my claim for both parts of payments so I thought send a photo of us badge that I have got.

That fact your council have issued you a BB is unlikely to make any difference to PIP.lynn768 said:I applied for the blue badge before I applied for pip. It cost me £10 but I have got it for 3 years. Sending pictures isn't the best evidence because once they are added to the computer the images are very unclear and a picture means nothing really because it doesn't tell them anything about how your conditions affect you. I also agree with calcotti about the BB.

Hi Sue _scope.
I've not heard anything yet but only had the phone call on Friday. I'm not holding out much hope of the original decision being overturned tbh.0 -
Keep us updated when you do hear more @lynn768 and we'll be here to support you whatever the outcome
