Butterflies in wind

Just watched two cabbage whites flying together (after a bit of s*x) and wondered how they managed to stay so close despite the gusting wind?
I know that it is to do with pheramomes but how do you they actually control their flight?
Amazing

I imagine with difficulty! Never see a butterfly fly in a straight line do you. 🤣0
