Have you tried wrist splints my rheumatologist gave me two pairs one for during the day and ones for night time when sleeping.
The day time ones has no thumb brace and are known as working wrist splints.
Maybe they could help you.0 -

Hope these links are useful.
I also get prescribed Piroxicam (Feldene) gel for the pain that is somewhat effective along with my crohns arthritis meds.
For the pain in my hand and wrist I find heat applications also help and I also avoid lifting and carrying what I class as heavy items, I also avoid where possible certain wrist movements example opening a tin kills me on my bad days but what helps is something as simple as a tin opener my occupational therapist told me about this Can Opener and I must say it's been a godsend lots of stuff that helps included with it jar opener, bottle opener stuff like that.

I'm afraid it is very much trial and error to see what works for you. I've tried steroid injections in my hands that helped only for a short time and yet some people in my pain management group swear by them while others find them far too painful. Tbh I found them quite painful now if they had worked miracles for me like they have for some then yes I would have continued with them but truthfully imo it is very much trial and error finding what works for you.
Just take it one day at a time and you will soon learn what works for you, I'm still in pain but at least my meds are now some what effective but that took a while to get here.
Not nice being in constant pain and I hope soon you will find what works for you @sammyjg38.

Hello there @sammyjg38 and welcome to the community, I hope you've found @Binky1234's replies helpful
drs say arthritis and prescribed naproxen which are uselessI'm sorry to hear what you've been prescribed it's having the effect it should, have you spoken to your doctor's about this, and whether there might be alternative ways to help ease the pain?
If there's anything you need a hand with, please do ask, and feel free to have a look around the forum as and when you'd like to.
