Under UC there is a fixed amount that is deducted from the housing element for a non dependant £77.87/month. If either you or the non dependant receive PIP Daily Living then there will be no housing cost contribution deduction.

Having LCW or LCWRA makes no difference.

If the tenancy is your name only then your non dependant cannot claim the housing element herself.

Your non dependant is likely to be expected to contribute towards the council tax. Again, if either of you get PIP, there may be no contribution expected but every local authority makes their own rules so it will depend on your local authority.  I wouldn’t expect having therapy to make any difference.

I can’t remember if your grandchild will increase your bedroom allowance (not that this would matter if your help with rent already covers your full rent anyway).

Hi @joo99 :) How are you doing today? It looks like you were up quite late last night. I hope that you've been managing to sleep okay?

I hope that calcotti's comment has helped to clear that up for you a bit. I know it can all be quite confusing! Please do let us know if there's anything you're still unsure about.
