NoI don't mind a bit of heat but don't like to be in pain and sweating due to heat of food or the morning after effect0

YesI love spicy food. Apart from this year where I wasn`t in the mood, I grow my own hot chillies. Not fry your brains out hot chillies, but make you sweat hot types such as Big Sun Habanero, Paper Lantern, Ring of Fire (called that for a very good reason
) and Scotch Bonnets.
I like to cook hot soups which usually contain 5 Scotch Bonnets to make the heat.As some have said here, hot chillies can cause stomach upset; the way to get round that is to use them in foods quite frequently and you / your stomach will get used to the capsaicin (the component that makes chillies hot) and eventually settle down.0 -
NoI'm in hospital right now and all the food offered by the hospital that's either vegetarian or vegan is spicy and far too hot for me. So I have to stick to an omelette or jacket potato. It's a very limited and boring menu!0

My wife's family are from Pakistan, and I would probably get lynched if I couldn't take a bit of Spice! That said, home-cooked Asian food is about a mix of flavourful spices, with just a tickle of Chilli (mostly!)1
