There's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is then paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition/sent fit note. It's not paid at all during the waiting period. You sent your first fit note in AP 26th April to 25th May, this month doesn't count because it's not a full AP because the fit note was sent after the AP started.Your waiting time is as follows. May/June, June/July, July/August.. LCWRA starts from AP 26th August to 25th September and first payment will be 1st October. No LCWRA element is owed. The above advice assumes you're not claiming UC with a partner that already receives the LCWRA element on your claim.0

Hey yes we claim UC joint my I was working till Feb just gone. Due to sever mental health. I am just unsure what the payments are and are they added the same date as my regular UC payments. We have children too0

The LCWRA element is £354.28/month extra which will be included in your usual monthly payment made on your usual payment date. LCWRA is part of UC.As you already have children on your claim you would have been entitled to the work allowance when you were working so there will be no money owed for that.1

Thank you so much for the advice. I was looking at the journal they said on the 12 when I was awarded that o would get another note in journal in seven days to confirm money but so far I haven’t had anything, do they normally take ages for this to appear in journal. I’m sorry for all the questions I’m just new to all of this x0

The decision letter telling you that you will receive another letter in 7 days would only be received if they owe you some money. Please have another read of the letter it says something like “if this means we owe you some money” you will receive a letter in 7 days.As the first payment isn’t until October they don’t owe you any money so there will be no letter. You will see the LCWRA element in your statement for AP 26th August to 25th September. Payment will then be 1st October.0
