Do you have any plans for the bank holiday weekend?
I know that money is tight for many of us at the moment, so please do share your ideas on cheap or free activities your friends on the community could try!
I'm going to York to visit some family, and we're planning on walking the York Walls I think

I love York, it’s a beautiful historical city. I used to know lots of free things to do when my children were young.Museums are great places to visit and there’s lot of cheap bus passes etc. The weather is nice so picnics are always a good day out. This weekend we’re probably going to spend time with family just hanging out. We’re going away next week with the dogs, West Cumbria, in a cottage by the beach.2

That sounds nice @Teddybear12
I hope it helps you to take your mind off of things a bit!

Me too @Karen7788
York is really pretty.
I love going to museums, especially when they're free! Picnics are another great choice. Making your own tasty treats can work out reasonably cheaply, too.
Have a lovely time in the holiday cottage! That sounds blissful. Do your dogs like the beach?0 -
Thanks @Teddybear120

Have a nice time @Tori_Scope, it should be lovely.
personally I’ll be trying to work out how to pay my bills this coming year. 😏0 -
Indeed @leeCal. My rent is going up from September, so I'm going to rework my budget a bit.0

Commiserations @Tori_Scope, sorry to hear that.0

York is beautiful, had a nice weekend there a few years ago.0

It's okay @leeCal. It's still a decent deal, as I live in a shared house and my energy bills and council tax are included in my rent (thanking my past self!). Thank you though
I think we're all going to be adjusting our budgets!
I hope you have a nice time @Charlie19730 -
Enjoy some quality time with your daughter and grandson @woodbine1

I don't have any plans, my family have all gone away, I'm just going to have a quiet one1

Hi @Tori_Scope,
Yes, the dogs love the beach, it’s their favourite place. It’s a proper get away from all the hassle holiday, the back garden leads to the beach and it’s normally quite deserted. It’s quite a cheap holiday too, there’s some beautiful places in this country to visit.0 -
