Wow! These are really fantastic @jan5987 :)

The single swan on the rock is probably my favourite too. I like the final one of the stream as well, as the perspective on that one is really cool.

What kinds of things did you learn about on the course before you had to stop?

    Hi everyone
thank you for your lovely comments 😃
sorry I am not sure how to reply to you all I replied to Teddy but I can’t see how to reply to other people.

Tori thank you so very much, I love photography I started it in lockdown but then health got worse and now new conditions to cope with and other things, so I stopped and started again and only recently have been able to use my camera and go out.

On my course I did how my camera works, all the settings.
ISO and shutter speed and coming of auto that was all.
yes the swan was posing at just the right time I think 🤔. it’s a lovely park to take photos.😃

    The course sounds great @jan5987

The swan may have been posing at just the right time, but you were there to capture it, so I think it's a positive reflection of your skills :)

Just to let you know, I've merged a separate post you made with this one, as it looked like you wanted to comment a reply on this thread.

To comment on a post, you just need to scroll down to the 'type your comment' box, type what you'd like to say, and then click 'post comment'.

To reply to individual people you can:
    • tag them - type @ followed by their username, like @jan5987 or @Tori_Scope
    • quote what they've said- I can see that you quoted some of our comments above. If you'd like to quote someone's comment and reply to it, you can click 'quote' on their comment, and then type your reply underneath the quote box. It can be a bit fiddly!
If any of that doesn't make sense, please just let me know :)

hi Tori thank you for your kind message
I think I understand now, sorry it’s difficult for me to understand things since having fibromyalgia and ME but I hope I have this right now.
The course was great but I found it difficult to understand it so I bought the book of the course and it’s so much better for me.
yes the swan was I think, thank you so glad you like it:) 😊😊.

Hi@jan5987. Your photography is brilliant. I think with@Tori_Scope the single swan is a favourite. But I like the tone and depth of all the others. You have a great eye for detail. As @Alex_Scope said getting out in nature is one you can’t beat. I did a design degree which had a photographic element to it. I understand your difficulties with course work as I have a form of dyslexia, I found it had to take the information in. Photography can be very technical in parts. Have you discussed with your tutors if you go back when your better. Take care

    Hello Fin1
Thank you so very much for your comment.
Thats so very kind to say that.
    i didn’t I have I just take the photo I like what I see.
The course was an online course I started it just in the middle of lockdown and my husband bought me a camera, it was online and just had people commenting, the thing was I couldn’t keep up, on top of my new diagnosis and having to pace and rest a lot and I keep forgetting what I had to do i gave it up but I have the book of the course and I read it but then I forget, this condition makes you tired as well as painful, my camera I love but it’s heavy do most photos are with my phone.
i did enter a competition when lockdown first started it was for a charity will send you the picture and I took it with my phone and they said for me to be a volunteer contributor, but then they wanted specific photos and I sent photos in but  my confidence went down hill and everything got worse I didn’t hear hardly from them, and the chairman retired so that was it.
Can you put any of your photos on here?
Yes the technical side is very difficult the camera is a Nikon and still trying to understand the settings of it. I went from auto to manual but back to auto.:(
I received £100 I couldn’t believe it as never won anything before.
They did say they would like to use other photos but because I couldn’t get a
higher resolution eith it been my phone as didn’t have a camera and wasn’t an amateur photographer like others who entered that was it.
    Take care

But, great you revived that money for your work. I also love your first picture the composition, lighting and view is spot on. If you can bear with me I will upload some of my photos. Take care, I hope you get well and not so tired anymore.

That’s good, try and do your learning in bits. Once you have mastered something move onto the next but don’t give up on your talent. I understand the fatigue, don’t push yourself when you feel that way. Wait for your desire in photography to come back. Your have very supportive love ones which is half the battle. Again take care, manageable chunks. I’ll sort my photos out tonight, I just have to go to some meetings with people. Again take care and keep smiling.

Hello everybody, I've uploaded some of my photographs as @jan5987 ask to. These photos were taken a long time ago, and certain ones were part of an open university photography module. Some images have my art name on them; I plan to go self-employed at the end of next year and launch a creative enterprise. Thank You
