AA is attendance allowance and is for people over state pension age.
PIP isn't about ability to work but if your fibromyalgia impacts your every day living and mobility then you may qualify. Have you seen the points for PIP ?

AA ( attendance Allowance) is for those of state pension age and above.
PIP isn’t about your ability to work because people claim PIP and work.
Whether you’re entitled will depend on how your conditions affect you against the 12 PIP activities. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/

You can see the descriptors here. https://pipinfo.net/ you need to score at least 8 points for an award and there's 2 parts, daily living and mobility. The points for each part are added separately.

It is but it will help to have some understanding of the descriptors and the criteria before you ring to start a claim.

Welcome to the community @cazybatch :)

It can certainly be an awful lot to take in. If there's anything in particular you're feeling unsure about, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Something some people find helpful is to go through each descriptor that's relevant to them, and think of a few real world examples that illustrate how their conditions affect them.

Some people also find it helpful to keep a daily diary. Citizens Advice have some information on this

To understand what's meant by terms like 'reliably' and 'safely' in this context, you might find it helpful to scroll down to the 'additional information' section on this Benefits and Work page.

As the others have said, PIP isn't about your ability to work. There are other benefits that people who are less able to work can claim. Do you mind me asking whether you claim any other benefits?
