Just thought I would make a positive thread to counter the negative ones
I'm not saying its anyones fault that bad stuff is happening just thought it would be a nice idea to have a positive thread
I was in a shop recently buying some single malt whisky and an old man stopped us and said that was his favourite whisky and said it's the best one, thought it was nice to meet a friendly person
I like watches and I was looking in the window of a watch shop that is well out of my league and the lady saw me looking and invited me to come in and try it on even though she knew I had no intention (or ability) to buy it
Over to you

We like to hunt down antique shops and collect wierd and wonderful things (to us anyway)
Yesterday hubby brought this big metal "thing" an old miners lamp, as we were walking through the area of shops in which we brought it, we had three different people stop us to talk about the item, so nice to chat with strangers. x -
@SueHeath that's really nice, nice of people to feel they can stop you to ask, you must live up north if they are that friendly
I like antique shops as well, I like the furniture. If I ever get my own house I would use antique shops to get the stuff for it, but think it has to be the right house, it would look wrong in a modern house I think -
Hi @66Mustang we live in the Birmingham but are having a few days away at Weston Super Mare at the moment.
I must admit we have came across lots of nice people - it's probably because we smile and come over as friendly x -
The house I live in @66Mustang Is over one hundred years old, about the same age as my knees on a bad day 🤣
I have to see a nurse once a month and I saw her today. She’s very friendly and always makes a booking for next time when I see her which saves me ringing in and facing a lottery of available dates and times. She’s great.“This is my simple religion. No need for temples. No need for complicated philosophy. Your own mind, your own heart is the temple. Your philosophy is simple kindness.”

I've been struggling to keep on top of my garden so found a highly-rated gardener online who agreed for me to leave gate open and cash on garden table outside (so I didn't have to talk to him or anything).
We agreed he would just be cutting the grass this time BUT not only did he mow my very overgrown garden at a really good price, he tidied it up for me, weeded all the weeds, hosed down my patio and swept it too. Free of charge!
He messaged me later and said he could see I'd been trying with it and he wanted to do the extra just to help
It was so generous of him and just so nice. -
I went to a sports session for the first time last weekend, and everyone was really kind Someone even offered to give me a lift back in their car after the session had finished.
