You can take one thing with you.

Let's assume if you choose something that needs something else you can bring as much of that as you need. For example if you bring a gun or a car you can have unlimited ammunition or petrol.

What would you take?

A book?
An iPhone?
Some research?
Medicine?

    @SueHeath I can't think of anything that happened in that year!

    Before 1066 obviously

    I think Robin Hood etc. was around 1200

    Is 1022 too late for viking invasions or were they still happening? Maybe a gun sounds like a good option...

    Ha ha I thought of maybe a military helicopter of some description. It incorporates transport, protective armour and weapons all in one. One small problem - I don't know how to fly one.

    Harold II, was the last crowned  Anglo saxon English King in that year. I would take things from our century  to show the people, like a time traveler. I would take food, bottled water,  a body guard who drives a vehicle, coffee.

    I would take fake diamonds and a selection of sacks of spices like ginger and cinnamon, also tea ... I’d be rich in no time if you’ll excuse the pun.

    Then I’d buy a strongbox, fill it with my newfound wealth and secrete it in a place where I know there is still ancient woodland to this day. This would ensure that when I came back to this century I’d be rich rich rich! Ha ha ha ha ha manic cackling etc

    I’d also make sure I wore the correct clothing for that era otherwise people might think I’m a witch or warlock or something! No trainers, just leather sandals, smock, sunglasses.

    Maybe a sword. Decent shoes & a  Billhook. Something to make me rich? Don't know, I think an Earldom would be good instead so  I'd brush up on my medieval history to impress Cnut. Always remember to take a history book with you.

    I’d take a medical book that gave Instructions on how to make antibiotics…. Even thou I’d be helping people I’d be burned as a witch 😂😂😂
