We are excited to announce the launch of our first Accessible Transport survey.

Over the years there has been lots of research into different aspects of transport. Travel patterns and behaviours are well understood. But we think something is missing from this data – the experiences of disabled people. We have designed this survey to gather data about the reality for disabled people using transport and streets; your experiences, the specific barriers you face, and your priorities for the future.

What will the survey be used for?

We will use this data to campaign for change, ensuring that disabled people’s voices are at the heart of decision making. The responses from this survey will also directly shape our policies at Transport for All, and highlight areas we need to concentrate on in our work.

How to get involved

This survey is open to all Deaf and disabled adults living in England. Your input as members of Transport for All will be profoundly helpful, and allow us to build this organisation around your priorities.

There are several ways to take the survey. You can either complete it online, or you can download a print or large print version to fill out and send back to us, or you can take it over the telephone, or you can take it over Zoom with a British Sign Language interpreter.

Help us spread the word

In order for this research to have as much accuracy and authority as possible, we need to get everyone involved. You can visit our website to find out more and respond to the survey before midnight on Friday 21st of October.

You can also help us spread to word by forwarding this email on to anyone you think might be interested! Click here to download a press pack including a leaflet you can print at home, graphics for sharing online, and copy to include in a newsletter or email. Or you can contact us and we will mail you some leaflets in the post.

Thank you for being a member, and for your ongoing support with this research. When we make our voices heard, we can make real change, bringing us closer to a transport system that is accessible for all.
