I have Enhanced Care & Mobility PIP and my wife has the day and night award AA.
Presumably we will each get £150?
The question I ask is what is the government expecting us to do with it? What parameters have they laid down on how it must be spent?

You will both get the payment.
As with all benefits there are no restrictions on what you spend the money on.

You can spend it on what you want. The purpose is for "cost of living" but than can mean anything.

Thanks I was just wondering. Leaving it open like that I would imagine that some will spend it on irrelevant items then complain that they still need more.

Regardless of what a claimant spends it on, it's their money they can do whatever they want with it. Mine is going towards my holiday next year.

I'm buying a couple goldfish for my fish tank. And the rest will probably pay off debts. I would love to go abroad on holiday but don't have a passport.

Personally mine will be going into my saving, but even that’s to get a dog eventually, so not exactly relevant! Life’s to short to be worrying about what other people think regarding money.

I would love to have a fish tank but have no space for one, sadly. It's been a few years since i had a holiday so i'm really looking forward to mine but it's not for 11 months lol.

    What would be deemed "irrelevant"?

@joyclyn No. This will be a separate scheme, the £150 disability payment goes in to your usual account and hopefully should be with you next week.

You should ignore the "irrelevant" comment above because there's no questions asked about what a person spends their money on. This includes all the cost of living payments.
