Hi my daughter is in receipt of PIP mobility and daily living components.
She is hoping to attend residential college in term times but will be home in the holidays.
Does anyone have any experience of how this affects the PIP please
Thanks

If a claimant is in residential college/school that is paid for by public funds then PIP daily living is suspended after 28 days. When they come home for holidays then it starts back up again. The linking rules also apply in the same way they do for hospital. https://contact.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Benefits-if-your-child-is-in-residential-accommodation.pdfYou must report all changes. If you're also claiming carers allowance or carers element of UC then these will also stop once PIP is suspended.
