In desperate need to move to Bristol or Wiltshire from Swansea (social housing). Seemed to be be blocked at every turn. Only advice I've received is to look at private rents but I just don't the money. Any advice is very welcome

I'm in a similar position. There is no help unless you're actually homeless.
Private landlords generally refuse benefits even though I can afford the rent. -
If you have a local connection to the area you want to live then you can put your name down on the social housing list. I don’t know if home swap would be an option.Do you claim for help with the rent through either Universal Credit or housing benefit? If so you can apply for a discretionary housing payment for help with moving costs and rent in advance. Though finding a landlord may not be easy if you rely on benefits for the rent.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

That sounds really difficult @chippyboy
Would anything, in particular, help this to be more manageable for you at the moment - apart from speeding it up of course!
