Lcwra question

Hi,
I had a browse through the forum but couldn't find the answer to my question.
I am posting on behalf of my Son, he has just been awarded Lcwra. He declared his medical condition Jan 12th 2022 and supplied the first fit note on 19th Jan 2022.
He has been issued fit notes ever since, however looking at his journal it would appear that he has failed to upload his July 24th 2022 to August 24th 2022 fit note to his journal, (he has memory issues) his fit notes then continue from August, would this affect when he is eligible for payments from and is it too late to now upload the fit note which was issued for this period.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, it may affect when the LCWRA is paid from because you need to continue to send the fit notes without any gaps until a decision is made on your work capability assessment. It will be down to a decision maker to make the final decision. If they accept that missed fit note then the extra money will be paid from either May or June depending on what date he usually receives his money each month.1

Thanks Poppy.
If they don't accept the missed fit note when would his waiting period begin?

It will depend what date he reported the fit note in August and what date he usually receives his money each month.0
