Hi,

I recently had help to apply for pip and WCA for UC.  if you ignore uc payment for housing. Would pip daily living enhanced rate, basic mobility rate with lcwra and basic if for single person over 25 leave me with a payment of 1195.54 per month to live? The best scenario outcome?

Im worried because I'm not well and waiting for help on nhs.  Because I want to work but am on a long nhs waiting list for help to even eventually get back to work. I would likely get lcw with uc? I was advised. Or I'm in even more trouble if it I don't even get pip. This means even less money to live on if I have to appeal?!?

I'm waiting for help on nhs but lately i am too unwell to work after trying to continue working when not well. What will happen to me? I was advised to just always make sure I pay my rent.

Any advice pleasurable you.

UC standard element (over 25) £334.91. You will only receive extra money if found to have LCWRA, there's no extra money if found to have LCW. LCWRA is £354.28/month, paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition. Total UC without housing would be £689.19/month.
PIP Enhanced daily living is £92.40/week. Standard mobility is £24.45/week. Total PIP every 4 weeks £467.40 every 4 weeks. There will be 1 month in the year where you will receive 2 PIP payments.
There's 2 bills you must make sure you pay, rent and council tax. Are you claiming council tax reduction? This isn't part of UC and needs to be claimed from your local Authority.
You will of course need to pay all your bills, which will include any top up for your rent if there's a shortfall in your housing element.

Yes, I am currently getting a bit of reduction on council tax. It just seems very little to live on with prices at the moment. Well better than what I am currently on which is basic uc, which is why I tried to work when unwell. There is no shortfall in my housing element if I don't work. Hence my many prescriptions are free aswell. Being an agent work spikes my anxiety at the moment, when I got a tax rebate and didn't get The energy cost help. It was like I had no support and it really took me to a dark place.Has

The reason I'm worried is the estimated to for nhs help is at least 9 months. I always said I do want to work and that's why I was advised id likely get lcw.  But I only want to start work when I'm able to sustain employment, or I end up in a worse situation. It's just it's gonna still be penny pinching even in the ideal scenario? If I have to appeal while trying to get my health back, I think I will end up seriously ill. I have already had bad experience and discrimination with uc.

Welcome to the community @amazonianup :) Thank you for joining, and for telling us about your situation.

I just wanted to reassure you that you're not the only one wondering how they're going to make ends meet. Many people here on the community are feeling exactly the same way. I know that won't take away your worry, but I hope it helps you to feel a little less alone.

Do you mind me asking what kind of NHS help you're waiting for?

Do you mind me asking what you mean by 'dark place'? How are you feeling now?

I'm waiting for therapy and I already under mental health. I'm not good, otherwise I would try and work. I find it hard to cook, clean, look after myself. Forcing myself to work will increase my negative thoughts, if I'm worrying about money I think I will get worse also. I called Samaritans a few times. My place is a state at the moment. I have received pip payment but no letter and no assesSment. I still don't understand the amount I have received as it doesn't total to any of the rates?

You will receive the decision letter soon and it will tell you what your award is and for how long. You can also ring PIP and they will tell you what the award is.
