DLA question

Hello just have a question for a friend they sent the application and had a letter back for dla saying if we don’t have all the information for the child we may ask the doctor or anyone else in the care and thn had another letter saying sorry we are gone over the 8 weeks and you will have a decision soon what does this mean because there was no interview or anything ?

    There's not usually an assessment for a childs DLA claim. Once the decision is made, if they're not happy they can challenge it by requesting the MR.
    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.

    There's not usually an assessment for a childs DLA claim. Once the decision is made, if they're not happy they can challenge it by requesting the MR.
    Oh Ty is this for all child DLA claims ? So do they just go of the information you give them?

    Yes. If they need more information they will contact the school or GP.
