It's not about not being able to have both in payment. Your TP will erode over time so if other elements are added or get increased the TP decreases.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Thanks Poppy so the 354.28 LCWRA would be enough to Erode the 285 TP?
It's just a moderator on another site has advised a LCWRA claimant that their TP of 285 won't be removed At All.
But my Sister had the 285, and LCWRA 354.28 then cancelled the TP.
Surely they can't get the 354 and Not have it completely erode the 285?x -
The person on that forum is incorrect. The TP will completey erode. They will only be better off by £69.28/month. This is assuming that person doesn't claim carers element for theirself because LCWRA can't be paid at the same time either. Which would mean they would be even worse off.

I’ll repeat the answer I posted in the other thread that you asked the same question in
https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/comment/563602#Comment_563602A person can receive both. So someone who gets transferred from ESA Support Group with SDP would get both LCWRA and a SDP transitional element.
The SDP element is reduced by elements added later.
So if someone moves from JSA or IS and gets SAdPelement but is subsequently assessed as having LCWRA because the LCWRA is in many cases worth more the SDP the SDP element would be lost. Those couples getting SDP element of £405 would retain some of this once LCWRA added.emc123 said:Thanks Poppy so the 354.28 LCWRA would be enough to Erode the 285 TP?

ibby1 said:hi hi poppy can I get my Uc and rent paid fortnightly ???Yes, it's called an alternative payment arrangement. This can be done in special circumstances. If they agree your monthly payment will be split into equal payments and be paid fornightly. You will need to put a message onto your journal under the payment section to ask them. See link. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/universal-credit-alternative-payment-arrangements
