Hi, my name is Headcook! LCWRA: when can I expect first payment please?

Can anyone please offer any further advice please on we’re I am finding myself 
why has nobody noticed that my sick notes have not been processed properly 
I have had a call from work coach every 2 weeks for the last 5 months 
I’m at a loss for words 

how many other people are going to find themselves in this exact same position months down the line 
anxiety is maxed out and having chest pains 
how can this be right 

sorry any advice would really help right now

Try to put it to one side until such time as you get the MR decision. Clearly it appears a mistake has been made because you were misadvised. Hopefully the MR will reciting the mistake. If not, you can appeal. This is what the MR/appeals process is for.

it is so hard I don’t cope when things are out of line 

yes I’m hoping for the right outcome 
I’ve looked on this site for any others this has happened to to see there outcome 
can’t find anything similar 
there are 5 posts on my journal recording when I applied a fit note they were just never applied to the system 

I’m trying to highlight this happening to me as I would not like anyone else to end up here 
things are not all as they seem with this

I'm sorry this is causing you so much distress @headcook. Is there anything you could do that usually helps you to soothe your anxiety a bit?

no i live alone 

only thing that will help is getting this sorted 
I’m in aww how this can even happen when someone is paid to do a job and advise people especially benefits we need them to get it right 
so many on here rely on benefits 
and the stories are soo similar
same mistakes 
my work coach has appeared sympathetic and knowledgeable all through my heart attack in April and me dealing with heart failure 
how can this have been gotten so wrong how many others has he got this wrong for 

I’m due a call from him on Thursday I wonder what he will have to say about this

Unfortunately claims are processed incorrectly and mistakes made - as threads on this forum indicate. However the appeals process is there to help rectify errors.

It would of course better if we had a properly resourced system and properly trained staff to administer it.

Training and adequate resources 
make for a smooth operation 

and it’s taken my perseverance to highlight my particular error 
so in amongst my anguish on this issue I’m hoping to highlight the need to report fit notes in the correct manner 

whilst I’m waiting for decision maker can I further ask when my 3 months waiting are up will they start making payment for the lcwra element even if there is still no decision on this 
based on 9/9/22 being date they are currently working on

There's usually someone around on the community for a chat, if you'd like to take your mind off of everything. The coffee lounge is a great place to relax and hang out.

If a work coach would advise a claimant to "report a change of circumstances" then report their health condition, this should then prompt an action on your "to do list" to report a fit note, which you would do by clicking "report a fit note." Then you would receive reminders on your journal that your fit note is due to end so that you can then take action to get the next fit note.

Work coach would send a link to my journal which would ask for file to be uploaded I would choose my pictures and select screen shot I had taken of sick note that had been sent over on an email from my doctor  
days before previous sick note had expired 
I only had what you describe on to do list twice hence they are saying those were actioned correct 
first and last sick notes 
the 3 sick notes in between to make 5 in total we’re done as explained and work coach stated he could see I had done this

spoke with work coach today even though I’ve been told I no longer need a work coach by case manager this man still continues to book me appointments 

I am beginning to think this is down to him with my sick notes not being passed and checked 
he spent 10 mins trying to convince me that I’m only LCW 
not LCWRA 
then I re explained to him again that this is the issue and all I am wanting is the LcWRA element to be paid to me correctly from the correct date 

keep being told by case manager journal is only a message service 
well mr case manager that works both ways then because the journal is showing messages from your side stating sick notes recieved and accepted 
and I’m the one being asked to produce evidence I’ve sent these notes already when there has been no indication there is infact something wrong your end 
to be sent for work assessment do you not have to be on a sick note to be put forward in first place 

more and more on here experiencing the same issue 
I’m really at a loss 
work coach is telling me he needs to continue booking appointments and I need to send fit notes

If the decision was definitely LCWRA then you don't need to attend any further appointments. Then ask your work coach to read the decision letter.

If the decision was LCW then what is expected of you will depend on your claimant commiments.if you have no joy with the LCWRA element then you'll need to request the MR.

decision is defo LCWRA @poppy123456 and have pointed coach in direction of letter and stated to him case manager has said no notes or calls needed 

already at MR 
coach sent message stating all sick notes recieved and seen by him and my statement needs updating 
so then case manager is sending me more messages saying this proof is already Been sent in 

they are really not that great 
So exhausting dealing with these people

Bizarrely too, if you have been found to have LCWRA you should, as I understand it, no longer have a work coach. You obviously still have a case manager but with LCWRA you no longer have any work search or work related requirements so there is no need for a work coach.

case manager keeps saying keep in mind you have no work coach 
and decision letter states no sick notes needed 
but on journal I get asked to provide another sick note as current sick note runs out on Monday 31/10/22 

queried this with case manager and got told it incase you want to report new conditions to health 

I just want the extra element of LCWRA to be paid from the correct date of illness/ disability this being 2/4/22.  Not 9/9/22 date of assessment 
and them to pay me any back date 

then stop asking for fit notes that aren’t needed and the work coach to stop booking appointments 

why is he being allowed to still book calls 
he should be being told to turn off all requests 
he even had me agreeing to commitments again when I only done this 7 days ago and they are exact same commitments 
I just want all this to stop

What daft response. If you had a new change of health to report you would need to report it by using 'report a change in your health' and then follow up with a Fit Note.

if you wish you could either complain to DWP about how you are being mucked around and/or involve your MP.

All of this, in my opinion, comes back to inadequate training.

Yes @calcotti it does feel like they don’t fully no what they are doing 

work coach makes it sound like my statement just needs updating and payment can be made with backdate to follow calculations 

case manager just jumped in and referred to MR so now I have to wait for DM to look at all this 

and I’m dangling in the middle of this mess feeling failed by the service that is supposed to help people when they are vunerable 
i Feel miss informed when all I have done is what I’ve been asked to do having no previous experience of benefits 
I have had a heart attack and been left with chronic heart failure
if I could currently work I would 
I feel let down.

Is there anything, in particular, that might help things to feel more manageable for you at the moment?

I can hear how you feel failed by the service that is supposed to help people when they are vulnerable.

For being kind and understanding 

many others on here are asking about payments and dates to LCWRA 
none appear to have the problem I’m experiencing 
this will be why I never recieved prompt to update sick notes 
so even though work coach sent links for me to upload 
it’s a good job he at least did this 

just hoping for right outcome 
as it’s all there the proof I’ve sent notes 
the DM just needs to have the facts and admit this has been applied incorrectly
