Hello and welcome @bigbadbeardavid has Wendy's reply been helpful at all?

I'm sorry to hear you're struggling to access the medication you need, when did you last speak to your GP about it? Do you mind me asking what you are seeking treatment for, just so that I understand more fully?

I can see this must be having a big impact on your mental health, so well done for reaching out. It's really important to talk about how we're feeling. If you need support with managing any feelings of stress or anxiety, Mind has some advice on self-care, and tips on how to reduce stress when it happens.

If there is anything we can do to help further, please just ask, the community is here to support you :)

Hi alex, a bit about me i had a rta now referred to as rtc (road trafic accident/collision) at the age of 21 i lost my R Arm, completely shattered my femur and also sustained a TBI leaving me in comma for several weeks, jump forward to present, i take stong analgesia meds that have had serious side effects they caused me to have obstructive and cental sleep apnea, i had surgery to relieve thr obstructive but i still suffer from cental sleep apnea where i stop breathing in my sleep, now this is made worse by taking strong analgesia, i am now 55 and rely on a power chair  I had a consultation with a with a Medical cannabis consultant, they are confident that i would see good results for treating my pain (i have neuropathic pain, arthritic pain and chronic pain) also the medicen would very probably cure my central apnoea. I have spoken to my G. P. In length, he agrees with me that access to medical cannabis would be a very positive thing i said if i had access i could most probably stop taking my regular prescribed meds. But i can only get access to this medication privately and at this moment it is not available on the NHS. Now it is very expensive, i am unable to work, so i am desperately, hoping i may be able to get some assistance with the costs.
Alex, please look up (projects 21 medical cannabis} i am so desperate Alex, so tired from the side affects from the meds i take, I'm so tired of the Apnea the pain  if i had a tether i dropped of the end years. At one point i even tred to end it all   Alex i give my full consent to share the information, my story with anyone who may be able to help.

    Kindest regards

Hi again @bigbadbeardavid thanks so much for explaining everything, it sounds like things are very tough going right now.

I'm glad to see that @mindful82 has been able to support you by sharing their experience of medical cannabis. It's positive to hear that you've been able to speak to a consultant about it and that your GP agrees. It's always advisable to check with your GP when considering any new medication.

As I mentioned earlier, it's really important to talk about how we're feeling. If you need support with managing any feelings of depression, Mind has some advice on self-care.

You can also reach out by texting "SHOUT" to 85258 at anytime, for free support 24/7.

I'd always encourage anyone struggling to contact Samaritans on 116 123 or by emailing jo@samaritans.org, the team are there to listen, and can help direct you to the best support you need.

Keep in touch with your GP about how your apnea pain is making you feel, and please know that you're not alone.

If there is anything we can do to help further, please just ask, the community is here to support you :)

Sorry but am i missing something here? The OP is asking for advice on ways to help pay for treatment not available on NHS. The clinic you've mentioned is private so the OP would have to pay for treatment.

Evening bigbadbeardavid I've just read that my information is correct they help patients for 1 year with costs for treatment etc  which is probably enough time to experience the benefits of using medical cannabis
