Hi everyone, I’m wondering if anyone would be able to give me some information on my circumstances please? I’ve been awarded LCWRA, Assessment was complete and evidence letter in my journal on the 6th of June,
I usually get my UC on the 27th of each month, I’m wondering when my first payment would be?

When did you report your health condition. The LCWRA element should be payable for the fourth full assessment period after the day you reported it.0

Details on fit note
- Fit note start date: 31 January 2022
- Fit note end date: 30 April 2022
- Fit note accepted? Yes
I didn’t hand in a April - June sick note due to personal circumstances.Had my assessment on
2nd June
evidence letter 6th June
haven’t heard anything since then? Thanks for taking the time to reply to me I really appreciate you’re help0 -
You are expected to provide continuous Fit Notes so I have no idea what they may decide.
If your condition is accepted as reported on 31st January that would be in your Jan - Feb Assessment period (AP). LCWRA would be payable from the May - June AP.0 -
You are supposed to continue to send fit notes without any gaps until the decision is made on your WCA. The gaps may go against you and affect when the LCWRA element is paid from.If they go from your first fit note your waiting period will be Feb/March, March/April, April/May... LCWRA payable from May 21st to June 20th and first payment would be 27th June.As you haven't receive the extra money yet then i can only assume they haven't accepted the gap in your fit note so your waiting period will start from the assessment period in which the decision was made. Therefore your waiting period will be May/June, June/July, July/August.. LCWRA starts from AP 21st August to 20th Sept and first payment would be 27th Sept so i'm unsure why you haven't receive any payment yet.Are you claiming UC with a partner that already receives the LCWRA element on your claim? You can only receive one per claim.1

Sorry I’m still abit confused, I was under the impression that the waiting period was after the LCWRA assessment had been awarded? X0

@poppy123456 thank you for you’re reply..
it’s a single claim
I’ve been having standard allowance on UC but no LCWRA payments, i do have a child I claim for but I’m not sure that would make any difference to this? X

No, the waiting period starts from when you reported your health condition, providing you sent a fit note within 7 days of this and continued to send them without any gaps until the decision was made on your claim.

Would they count may-June as I didn’t receive the letter awarding me LCWRA until the 6th of June x0 -

If it was Limited capability for work (LCW), then there's no extra money each month. If it was definitely LCWRA then put a message on your journal under the payment section and ask about the LCWRA element.0 -
