Hi everyone just looking for some advice.
My universal credit claim went in on 22/04/2022 along with my sick/fit note from my doctor which confirmed that I’m unfit for work due to ongoing health problems which are unlikely to change.

I was immediately told I needed to have work capability assessment from my initial appointment at the job centre, I was booked for this assessment however it got cancelled due to the assessor being off sick.
I have continued to provide sick notes with no breaks from that point, I was given the assessment last week which has taken them nearly 6 months. Today I received the letter from universal credit to inform me of their decision to place me under the LCWRA category.
Should I receive back pay and when from?
thanks in advance

You should be entitled to have the LCWRA included from your fourth payment - presumably 29th August. You should get LCWRA element in your next payment, the arrears will be paid separately and may take a few weeks to be calculated and processed.0

Thank you for your response, that sounds about right my payment date is the 25th but I may of made the call a few days before the 22nd April. However 22nd was my 1st appointment at the job centre so wasn’t sure if my claim ran from the initial phone call of the initial face to face appointment. guess I’ll just have to wait and see now but hopefully they backpay the 2 months After the assessment period. Thanks again.calcotti said:You should be entitled to have the LCWRA included from your fourth payment - presumably 29th August. If your payment date is 25th that indicates that the claim was made on 19th April.1

That’s spot on i just checked the calendar, it was bank holiday weekend so had to wait while Tuesday to make my claim, It would of been made on the Friday had it not been Easter.calcotti said:If your payment date is 25th that indicates that the claim was made on 19th April.0 -
If you claimed online it wouldn't have made any difference with it being a bank holiday.mrnorth12345 said:
