You need to "report a change of circumstances" then click health and report the health condition. Then on the commiments there will be "report a fit note"

Is this for your wife or someone else? If it's for your wife and she's earning more than 16xNMW per week then she won't be able to send a fit note unless she's claiming either PIP or DLA.

Although the earnings rule prevents a claimant being referred to a WCA, unless exceptions apply, does this also stop them reporting a health condition? I don’t know the answer to this.

I don’t think you do upload a Fit Note anyway. Doesn’t the report a change simply ask for details of the Fit Note and if UC want to see it they will send a link to upload or ask for it at an appointment. Again, I may be wrong on this.

That’s correct. Found it in the end and you only have to give them the dates of the sick note.

I did mean "report" a fit note, rather than send.

I think you maybe correct on that. However, when you report a fit note an agent has to accept it, i'm not sure whether it will be accepted if their earnings prevent the referral.

In this case there is no income purely on PIP and carer allowance at the moment.

It is becoming a real pain. In things to do they have asked to amend couple of things. I am helping someone whose mental capacity is very low after stroke and wife doesn’t use computer or other online gadget.
we are having problem in updating although I go into report a change etc.
two things need amending is to update in husbands account
    1. that wife is his carer now.
    2. they have asked to remove wife name as someone living with him as it is a joint application and iwife is not counted as living with him.
I just can’t get this sorted and in the journal they have given a date to get this updated.
Can you go into an office ie CA or some other organisation who can help to get it amended.

Did they both make a claim? Once this is done one of them will be sent a linking code to join both claims together. Yes, CA will help you if you have one local to you.

I think they should still accept the Fit Note.

I was going by other people here that have posted and said their fit note wasn't accepted, then found out that their earnings were more than 16xNMW/week.
It's a moot point here anyway because the OP is asking questions because they are helping someone else, who isn't working. I didn't know this until i asked that question.

Both Poppy and Calcotti have a vast knowledge. See if you can sort this for me.
the exact wording in the journal post is:
you do not need to include your partner (——-) as ‘other people who live with you’. This is already a joint claim with your partner. So you will need to redecare and remove your partner from the ‘other people who live with you’ section. If you need to make a change to your claim, click on ‘report a change of circumstances’, then select ‘children and other people who live with you’ and follow the steps on screen to make the change. You also declare partner(——) is not in receipt of carer allowance when you made your claim but we see you have declared that she does receive this on your new declaration. Please amend your account if she does receive carer allowance.
Now you would think very easy just follow instructions. But in the first thing to amend it does not let me go forward as it say no other person live with you.
please help if you can by letting have further instructions how to amend.
    Thanks in advance.

If necessary it may be better to ring UC while logged in on your journal so they can either make the change for ou or talk you through it.

(What infuriates me is that UC clearly know your situation and rather than send you messages it would be more supportive if they just made the correction!)
