Bowel Incontinence
"Not the Most Pleasantest of Questions"
After four months of virtually constant bloody diarrhoea I managed to get an emergency G.P., appointment.
I'll give the NHS their due they were brilliant. I was put on the Seven Day Suspected Cancer Pathway. Ten minutes later I had three tubes of blood taken out my arm.
I'll give the NHS their due they were brilliant. I was put on the Seven Day Suspected Cancer Pathway. Ten minutes later I had three tubes of blood taken out my arm.
After going through other tests and a camera procedure I was given the cancer all clear.
I had Diverticulitis.
This has happened before and happened again this morning. Whilst sleeping I have broken wind. But it was not wind. It was diarrhoea and I couldn't stop it. Yes I messed the bed, bowel wise.
Is this a common problem, that being asleep and wake up to a messy bed?
I don't want to bother with a GP appointment as this will be weeks away.
It s a rare occurrence or is it pretty common? Thanking you!

I'd echo the advice to speak to your GP if your symptoms are ongoing @oldngrumpy. Hopefully they'll be able to help you find a way to lessen your bowel incontinence.
