Have you spoken to your doctor or pharmacist to check that it's okay to use a CBD product alongside your Naproxen @wibbles?

That's good @wibbles It's always important to consult them, as I'm sure you know!
You'll have to keep us updated on how you get on with them -
I am going to be very careful with them - taking a low dose to start with, and monitor my blood pressure daily.Naproxen is metabolized in the liver by CYP2C9, and cannabidiol is known in vitro to inhibit CYP2C9. This may theoretically increase the risk of adverse effects. The word "may" - leaves this open to question, why have drug trials not been done to check for interactions between cannabis products and common drugs ?Another site says..
CBD and naproxen are generally regarded as safe when taken in combination — however, be cautious with this combination and always follow the recommended dosages for both substances. Never consume alcohol when taking naproxen and CBD.
CBD and naproxen both decrease pain and inflammation, but both of them have different mechanisms of action. Naproxen works by acting on the COX enzymes. CBD decreases pain by acting on the endocannabinoids and TRP channels.
Some reports suggest an even greater level of pain reduction when combining CBD and naproxen together, but there are no studies to confirm whether this is safe or effective yet.

I have now had 2 gummies over 2 days and found that they do cause slight lightheadedness - which lasts as few hours - though no pain relief yet !!

10mg each at £20 for 30 (Cannaray)
Are there any cheaper (safe) methods of obtaining CBD?
-
And how am I supposed to take them?
Do I chew them or let them dissolve under the tongue? -
Hi @Wibbles it's always advisable to consult with your GP (or a specialist if you have one) if you're unsure about how to take any medication. I'd encourage you to speak with them as soon as you can
In my case, I don't have any experience with CBD gummies, so I'm afraid I can't answer your questions directly.Online Community Coordinator

Doesn't it tell you how to take them? Usually there's a leaflet inside the box with all the information on.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
If you go into your local health food shop @Wibbles they will have someone there that will tell you all about the use of any of the CBD products and what you can't have them with med wise. Or have a look on line. I use Health Span and they are great with advise, i'm wondering if your chemist is any good because it does depend on what meds your on but they wont be able to tell you how to use the gummies.

I've been using CBD gummies for a week now, with no noticeable affect at all except for diahorrea!
I will see out the rest of the pack but won't replace them! -
mmmmmm wonder why the runs @Wibbles how many have you been having and did you check if you can have them ?? I find with some of the herbal things i try you have to give them time to get into your system, but i would deff think giving you the runs is not a good reaction. At least you gave them ago x

With CBD gummies, you place them under your tongue for a couple of minutes so that they are more easily absorbed into your bloodstream, then chew & swallow. As far as your medication goes, as atenolol isn't significantly metabolised by the liver, then it doesn't matter when you take any gummies. However with naproxen it's suggested that you leave a 4 hour gap between taking this and any gummies(& also CBD oil). It's difficult for Drs to check for you as CBD isn't prescribed, they can only check against medical cannabis. Pharmacists can be more helpful, as they can check whether any of your meds are metabolised in the liver by a group of liver enzymes known as cytochrome P450, & naproxen is metabolised there as is cannabidiol. So, as you've found, adverse effects could occur if both are taken at the same time, hence why having a 4 hour gap is wise.Unfortunately CBD can take between 2-8 weeks to have any effect, so patience is needed. Cost wise, I'd consider trying CBD oil instead.

@crystalpharmacy - advertising isn't allowed in this community. I also doubt your claims.

Yes pls update, as I too take naproxen, I know of someone who has the oil but their circumstances are different, and they swear by it, but I'm too scared incase side effects 🙂
-
Yes good point, I know I can't have grapefruit on anti depressants, there is a science behind it on Google x

Have you noticed any effects by now? I’m really interested because I also take Naproxen and wonder whether it’s safe to mix it with CBD products. I’m aware everyone’s body is different, but it would still be cool to have an honest review.
I want to order some CBD gummies from [Removed by moderator - advertising]. I don’t like smoking, and it’s more comfortable for me to chew something than to inhale smoke. I hope it will help me fight my anxiety and insomnia because nothing else helps.
Your doctors are right about the lack of data. There hasn’t been enough time to run any major research on CBD and THC.
