Unsure how to change information in application

Hi, I've been hanging around for a few weeks now and I hope someone here can help me.

I've applied for Pip using the online form and have uploaded my evidence. I received a text that the assessment service has received my application.

In the mobility section, I stated that I could manage between 50m and 100m. At the time I was working my way through the questions, I thought this was correct.

However, I have been unwell for the last few months and have been off work sick. this means I've basically been a couch potato whilst waiting for my new medication to kick in and any symptoms to ease off.
I have started to feel a bit better and have been getting more mobile. However, I have found my mobility has declined further (it has been going downwards for the last 2 months if not more) and that I was probably too optimistic when filling in the application form.
I now wouldn't manage more than 50m before having to stop and take a rest due to pain, breathlessness and fatigue.

How do I go about correcting the information I have put in my application? Would I write a statement and upload it to my application as evidence, or would I wait until my assessment and inform my assessor when the time comes that my mobility is actually much worse than I have stated?

Thanks =)

    For any worsening of condition you must have had this for at least 3 months. As it’s only been 2 months then it won’t be taken into consideration yet. You will likely have an assessment so you can update them during that.

    Thanks for your reply.

    So I would just tell them in the assessment that it is actually worse than when I filled in the application?

    It will definitely be more than 3 months by the time I have an assessment, if the timescales I've seen here and elsewhere online is anything to go by

    Yes during the assessment. Remember part of the criteria also is that you must expect the conditions to last at least a further 9 months.
