Hello
my daughter has her DLA tribunal next week after waiting since January. She always got higher rate and my wife claimed Carers Allowance for her. Last month my youngest daughter was diagnosed with Autism and my wife claims carers allowance for her. My question is if my eldest daughters DLA tribunal is won can my wife still claim the back pay from her carers allowance for her, up until the point she started claiming for my youngest.

She should be able to do that. She may be required to make a new claim for that specific period rather than asking for an extension of the previous award - I think she’ll need to check with CA unit.deanoefc said:Hello
