A diagnosis, will not automatically entitle you to any benefits. You also don't need to be claiming any benefits to have adaptions in your home. First you need to refer yourself for a needs assessment from your local Authority. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/social-care-and-support-guide/help-from-social-services-and-charities/getting-a-needs-assessment/For benefits, if you're under state pension age then you can look at claiming PIP. It's a disability benefit, which isn't means tested so savings/capital and household income doesn't affect the amount you maybe entitled to. Whether you're entitled will totally depend on how your conditions affect you against the 12 PIP activities. For any other benefits then it will depend on your circumstances and you haven't given any informtation for anyone to be able to advise you further.

Along with what poppy123456 has suggested, I'm wondering whether you might find it helpful to read our page on getting home adaptations.
What kind of adjustments are you thinking might be helpful?0
