if if you have. Cerebral palsy in the uk and need physio you are very little lucky if you get any help especially when you come home from hospital.

Regular, consistent physiotherapy is a huge issue for adults living with CP. Most NHS provision is in 6-week blocks this then requires re-referral from your G.P. It is not helpful for a life-long condition.
One of the key recommendations of the APPG report on adults living with CP is a review of physiotherapy and rehabilitation services for our community.1 -
It really depends on where you live unfortunately. When I was living near Sidcup they had a really good Kings College physio unit. I had a bad back( still do), but they let me have a physio there that consistently saw me until I moved. She gave me exercises to try and when she thought I was well enough, popped me into a Pilates class, but the main thing was, she kept going with me - no 6 week block - I just popped in every 3 to 4 weeks - and that belief in me and support helped. Sometimes it can help to push your gp for a more advanced physio as I’m sure for CP consistent regular physio is required and should be offered.1
