Hello all, I’m new to this website, I’m just wondering if anyone else is waiting for a PIP Tribunal, I have been waiting 9 months now which seems to me far too long, I have emailed them numerous times with no reply. Cheers.

Some people can wait over a year for a tribunal unfortunately, there’s numerous threads on this topic if you wish to look. Look out for the search bar at the top of your screen.1

Welcome to the community @erniethegreat
It's great to have you with us.
I'm sorry to hear that you're still waiting for a tribunal. How's that making you feel?

It’s kinda Frustrating why the wait is so long, The last I heard from them was 3 months ago, They informed me that my Tribunal is ready to list and they are waiting for a Suitable time and Date, I haven’t heard any thing since then 😖Tori_Scope said:Welcome to the community @erniethegreat

Once a date becomes available you will be contacted. In the meantime there’s nothing you can do but wait.0
-
That does sound frustrating @Erniethegreat thanks for explaining, sometimes it helps to take your mind off the wait by spending time doing things you enjoy if you can. Do you have any favourite things to do to help relax and de stress?0
-
I finally received a Email Reply on Thursday, Saying the same thing it’s ready to list and it will be given the next available date, I guess it’s just a waiting game unfortunately 😑0
-
This sounds really frustrating @Erniethegreat. How are you feeling about the waiting game at the moment?
Also, is there anything, in particular, that might make things feel more manageable for you at the moment? We are all here for you and listening to you

I applied for PIP in June 2021, had my assessmentErniethegreat said:Hello all, I’m new to this website, I’m just wondering if anyone else is waiting for a PIP Tribunal, I have been waiting 9 months now which seems to me far too long, I have emailed them numerous times with no reply. Cheers.
in November 2021, received 0 points in December, did the mandatory reconsideration and received 0 points in Feb 2022, applied to go to tribunal in March, received the bundle in June, received tribunal date in October, had tribunal 1st November, got awarded enhanced for daily living at the start of the tribunal2 -
Sounds pretty much like my case, I got given 0 points, then 2 after the MR, I’m hoping the judge will see my side of the story instead of the lies the assessor written down, Basically everything I said she written the opposite.Mikeb2102 said:

I know it's not the same but I recently had a UC tribunal and that took 2 years to come to an end. I was sent a letter saying the DWP had to respond within a certain amount of time. They responded in September and my tribunal was November.
My PIP's in for appeal after an unplanned intervention gone wrong. Hoping that PIP won't be as long winded.0 -
I applied for PIP in April Last year and it’s still ongoing until Next Tuesday, A total of 19 Months, I’ll be relieved when this is all over, I’ve heard people on here going to Tribunal with 0 points and winning there case, so I’m quite hopeful. As I’m not lying about my illnesses.wizboque said:I know it's not the same but I recently had a UC tribunal and that took 2 years to come to an end. It definitely is a mentally draining process, especially if you’re anything like me and it feels like you cannot put it out of mind.Erniethegreat said:

I think we’ve all come to accept an unwritten truth about PIP; Most people fail on their initial assessment and need to appeal.
I think the best thing to do is speak to your local CAB and see if their are any advocate services nearby, they’ll help you.
I think when there is no one there to support a claim they assume they can get away with denying them. Evidence is everything and they’ll help you gather everything up.
(or at least I feel a lot more confident in this application with the support I have in my new one)0 -
I have someone to come with me to support me with my Tribunal, The assessor just lied and written the opposite down, They assumed I can manage money just because I have a driving licence, I don’t know how that works.wizboque said:

Yeah it’s all a bit backwards if you ask me. They assume so much based on your reaction at the time and not overall. I have a tendency of just agreeing to things when I’m overwhelmed and a little bit of frustration in someone’s voice basically makes me submit to whatever they’re saying, so assessments aren’t my strong suit at all.Erniethegreat said:

It sounds really positive that you have someone to go with you to support you with your tribunal @Erniethegreat.
Though, it sounds really difficult and frustrating that they lied and wrote the opposite down. Do you think you might appeal this?
I am just wondering what might help things to feel more manageable for you at the moment. Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything to support you.
We are all here for you and listening to you. You don't have to face this, or anything else, alone if you don't want to.
Take care for now and we will look forward to hopefully hearing from you again soon

Yes this will be getting mentioned at my Tribunal, There are numerous factors on my assessment that they got wrong, I have them all written down to take with me, I think I’m not the only one on this forum that the assessor lied on the assessment, I’ve read it multiple times, I’m feeling rather positive people have gone to a Tribunal with 0 Points and won there case.L_Volunteer said:It sounds really positive that you have someone to go with you to support you with your tribunal @Erniethegreat.

This isn't going to get you a PIP award. HMCTS already know that many assessment reports are flawed. Your assessment is in the past and you should now move on from that. Concentrate on the weakness in your evidence and where and why you think you should have scored those points.
