I was diagnosed with a spinal fracture and CES this week. I’m am currently waiting for an urgent appointment with the neurologist to decide what treatment I need! I feel like I’m sitting on a time bomb I’m terrified things will get worse before I get my appointment. Everything I read says that you need an urgent operation? I don’t know why they are making me wait!

Welcome to the community @fran755 Thank you for joining us!
I can imagine it'd be quite distressing to have to wait for an emergency appointment. Have they given any sort of time frame on how long that might take?
In the meantime, do you have access to any other medical professionals who can monitor your health?
If you feel you need to see someone urgently, I'd encourage you to go to A&E. If you're not sure whether it's an emergency, you could try calling 111.
Are you staying at home at the moment? Is anyone with you?0
