Hi
Anyone can tell me please that after how many days of pip assessment, they received a text about decision. I’m waiting desperately after my assessment and haven’t received any text or letter. Almost 10 days have passed.
thanks

Once the report is returned to DWP a decision can take 2-12 weeks, sometimes longer.1

Welcome to the community @dua
It can take a little while to receive the decision letter unfortunately, and the text service appears to be a little inconsistent.
How did you find the assessment?1 -
My accessment was on the 28th September and I still haven'thad a text I have rang to find out what's happening and apparently it's in audit with the accessor. Sounds to me like yours has gone to audit1

HiThanks for replying.
Actually assessment was good. Assessor was so nice and soft. But I read over internet that people needs to exaggerate the health problem during assessment. But I been so fair so that’s why I’m upset now. I didn’t explain my problems in detail. But I hope for the good results.
I got a text very next day after assessment from dwp that we have received ur written report and we will write u once we make a decision. And tomorrow going to be 2 weeks. I’m looking for good. I need prayers.1 -

I'm not sure where you read that but it's not correct at all. Doing this can be classed as benefit fraud.

It can take up to three months between assessment and decision.Dua said:I got a text very next day after assessment from dwp that we have received ur written report and we will write u once we make a decision. And tomorrow going to be 2 weeks.1 -
You shouldn't exaggerate your symptoms, no @dua. So don't worry
Please do keep us updated on your outcome! Try and take your mind off of it for now, though I appreciate it's easier said than done. 1 -
Hi
i got a text last Friday from dwp that We haven’t yet made any decision. Once we make, we will write to u.
I’m desperately waiting as I’m suffering financially. Can anyone tell me how much dwp takes after this text or letter. As I applied on 4th May.
As already 6 months have passed in wait wait and wait.
thanks0 -
2-12 weeks once the report was returned to DWP. That letter is just another pointless stage.0

Hi
they just refused my PIP. Bcz they said, I’m managing with the life. I’m so upset0 -
You can challenge that decision by requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR) You have 1 month to request this and you should put it in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points.Dua said:Hi

Timescales for decisions are 2-12 weeks. If the decision doesn’t change you can proceed to Tribunal.1 -
Hi
i just want to know, is there any tip for mandatory reconsideration process.
Can I get help from citizen advisory bureau about mandatory reconsideration?
thanks0 -
They put me hardly on 4 score. Which is very low?
Is dwp normally put on such low score when they refuse or it happened just with me?

You can get some help from any advice agency that's local to you. Start here to see what's near to you. https://advicelocal.uk/welfare-benefitsDua said:They put me hardly on 4 score. Which is very low?

There's a PIP points scoring system known as PIP descriptors. Points are scored if you meet any of those the majority of the time. There's 10 daily living activities and 2 mobility ones. You can see them here. https://pipinfo.net/There's lots of people that score below 8 points, which means there's no award. Some people don't score any points at all.

Is there anyone who knows how to contact pip department of citizen advisory bureau. I’m trying since last Monday but nothing happened. I used chat service and advisor told me I’m in queue but no one called me yet. And there is no contact number to contact pip department of citizen advisory bureau. I’m too much upset0

And is there any tip to apply for pip reconsideration? There are few points in assessment which has been taken wrongly. And few points which I didn’t say. How should I address them0

Some information here

if you contact Citizens Advice you will speak to one of their volunteer advisers. They don’t have a specialist PIP department.0
