I found this site what looking for some info about PIP and getting a copy of the health professional consultation report which is very useful.

I worked in IT before I had a stroke so thought the following might be helpful for anyone here as I had to be aware of it for my job.

Under the DPA / GDPR, the data protection act. (This is all to do with the data any private or public organisation holds about you on a computer system) You are entitled to see any information on request. This is called the right of access and is commonly known as making a subject access request or SAR. The SAR has to be responded to within 30 days.

For all public sector / government departments you can google it. For DWP the web address its:-

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/request-your-personal-information-from-the-department-for-work-and-pensions

Hope this helps someone.

Or rather than do the SAR you can just ring PIP and request a copy of the assessment report.

Hi @Dan101 - & welcome to the community. As poppy says, ringing the PIP enquiry line (0800 121 4433) is the easiest option to ask for a copy of the HCP's report. It's not always advised, however, for some of our member's, as receiving it can increase their anxiety, so sometimes better to wait for the actual decision letter instead.

Welcome to the community @dan101 :)

Thank you for sharing this! As the others have said, you should be able to get one by calling that number. Some people do have trouble with this, though.

How have things been since you had your stroke, if you don't mind me asking?
